Loch Ness East

Last night I kipped on a hill on the Eastern side of Loch Ness.  Today I walked in the woods and walked up a hill.  Not many pics, the light wasn’t great, but it was my first time exploring this side of the great Loch, so that was cool.

Drumnadrochit….I stayed there about 3 years ago now….we arrived the week after they’d had the hottest summer in ages, to find a lot of grey, cold winds and less warmth ! :S

However, the scenery was stunning and we visited some great pubs 🙂

    • Yes indeed, I seem to remember trying to big the place up before you went. Well, it’s changed a lot since then, as you can see. I think the cloud level has risen by some 200 metres.

Anyway, like you say, the scenery is a bit better than the view out the RMS office window. How is balloon woman these days, by the way? That dodgy burger van still wafting the smell of frying fat into the office?

I don’t keep an eye out for balloon woman so it would be unfair for me to comment, I always thought that was Frase’s job 😉
Burger van still trading well you’ll be glad to here, kept in business partly by Rich who makes a daily visit, my own lapses are much more rare thankfully !
Had a quick scan of your blog this morning….you’ve been busy ! Certainly looks like you’ve found your vocation in life 🙂

  2. Ah, Frase. I wonder what happened to him. Last time I saw him, when he borrowed my Apple Mac, he was living in a grubby top floor flat in Bristol, wandering about in a long night gown with half eaten takeaway meals and needles lying about. Girls were draped over the sofas and the banister rails. I said “Frase, how do you get by mate?”, he said, “Take a look around you Phil, this is my currency now”. Of course I didn’t know what he was talking about so I just picked up the Mac and left, but looking back I wonder if I could’ve gotten a free takeaway out of him…

You could be right about the vocation thing. We’ll see. I still get overly excited about IP addresses and using command prompts…
